So I attempted to go ice skating on Tuesday. I was very excited about it, but as with most things of this nature, suspected I would not be good at it. I was right. I've never been more terrified in my life! I only went around the rink once, with the help of two friends. And I screamed like a piglet the whole time. Alas, I guess I'll never be a figure skater.
On Monday night my professor took our seminar group out to dinner. It was really nice. As I'm quite poor, I hadn't gone out to dinner in ages. He also bought a fair amount of wine. Although the semester isn't over, he won't be there for the last two weeks of class. So it was a last hurrah type thing. He also gave us all autographed copies of his book. In my inscription he wrote: "If you try hard enough you might look like Michael Jackson." It's an inside joke.
I'm now done with classes, but I'm not going home until the 18th. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself for the next week and a half. Probably a whole lot of nothing. Last night I discovered Gray's Anatomy on YouTube, which made me happy.
