One of my friends informed me that I needed to update. So here I am.
Spring break was really quite wonderful. My favorite part was definitely visiting Exeter again. It was great seeing everyone from last year, and it felt as if I had never left.
So it's hard to be back at Kenyon again. I arrived tuesday, half an hour before I had class. Everything has been so hectic and chaotic. I had two job interviews this past week. I'm not sure how well they went. I'll find out about the one sometime this week, and the other one I won't find out about until April 13. I feel like I should have some sort of back up plan, because obviously no one in their right mind will hire me. And I'll always be poor. I think I'm a good worker with a strong work ethic, but I'm not sure if people will see that. Plus, I feel as if I'm not even qualified for most un-paid positions, let alone ones with a salary.
On saturday I have my comps exam. If I don't pass, I don't graduate. So it's rather nerve-wracking. Especially because english majors don't take many exams. Also, half of the exam is an essay on a poem. I don't do poetry. Most english majors here don't. Luckily, I'm in a study group, and I feel that we're doing some good work. Yesterday we spent 3 hours on 17 short poems by Herbert. He's kind of easy to interpret because as long as you put "through Christ" in there a few times, you're on the right track.
Last night my friend, Kristin, and I decided to just go off campus and do something. It was really nice. We had good chinese food and saw V for Vendetta. I hardly ever see movies, and it was really fun. Also, it's a really cool film. I recommend it. If you ever thought it's too bad Guy Fawkes didn't succeed in blowing up the Houses of Parliment, then this is the movie for you. It also is very 1984-esque.
Ok, well I should try to accomplish some things.
