::Yay, Scotland!
8:25 p.m. - 2005-01-30

So I just got back from a lovely trip to Scotland! It was so much fun. I had never been to Scotland before; I was in Edinburgh and then Glasgow. Although the cities are fairly close together, they are quite different. Edinburgh is old and lovely...very cobblestoned and such. There is this great big Castle on a hill that overlooks the whole city. Glasgow, however, resembles a modern American city. Out of all the places I've been in the Uk, it reminds me of the States the most.
Don't tell the English, but I think I like Scottish people better. They are more open and friendly (I suppose it comes from wearing skirts...). Overall the service I received in restaurants and the hotel was much better than any I've had in England. Maybe Kristin did the right thing by studying near Edinburgh.
