::a ramble-y entry

So I will be back in the States in a month! I even have a hair appointment for when I'm back. It's not that I dislike it here, it's just that I prefer things there. It's a comfort thing, mainly. Here I'm quite cut-off from people and things I like. Plus, I haven't really made any british friends. I have made new friends, though (but most of them are American)
So last week something really scary happened: a train derailed and at least 7 people died. What makes it scary is the fact that I was in London and it was a train on the line that I take from London to Exeter. The scariest part of it is that my flatmate was on the train. He was not injured, luckily, but 3 people in his train car did. It was big news over here, but I doubt anyone in the states heard anything about it.
Anyway...I've been a very good girl recently. I've been sober for about 2 weeks and so far this weekend I've accomplished quite a lot of work. I'm now halfway through one of my papers, so I'm feeling good!
